6.4.19 EXHIBIT S -Permanent Man-Made Structures
The mining operation will not adversely affect the stability of any significant, valuable or
permanent man-made structures located within two hundred (200) feet of the affected land.
The permanent man-made structures located within or adjacent to a line drawn two
hundred (200) feet from the affected land are:
1. The Gurley Ditch, an imgation ditch that defines the eastern boundary of the grave] pit and
is crossed twice by the gravel pit access road.
2. The San Miguel Power Association 69 kV Transmission line that crosses the gravel pit
azea.
3. Fences owned by Marilyn Allen
4. The Redvale Road, a county road.
All of these structures aze depicted on the Exhibit C-1 Pre-Mining Plan map. Damage agreements
are enclosed for items 1 through 3. The mining plan for the gravel pit has been designed to leave
200 foot buffers between the disturbance created by the pit and both the Redvale Road and the
privately owned headgates, listed below. These 200 foot buffers maybe further evaluated.
An agreement to install culverts and create ditch crossings for the access road to the Phase I of
the grave] pit is included in Exhibit N.
The gravel pit is designed in accordance with design standazds supplied by San Miguel Power
Association for earthmoving adjacent to their power poles and vertical clearance required under
"Open supply conductors, over 750 V to 22kV: ungrounded guys exposed to 750 V to 22 kV"
where "Roads, streets, and other azeas subject to truck traffic" aze expected to occur.3
These standards, as adjusted for elevation and cun•ent, require the operator to maintain vertical
cleazance (as measured from the ground) of 22.8 feet or 23 feet. Additionally these standards
require the operator to leave a 20 foot diameter of undisturbed earth around the power poles of a
transmission line, with slopes no greater than 2h:ly.
A Damage Agreement Between Louisiana Land and Gravel Company, LLC and San Miguel
Power Association, Inc. which provides a remedy for any damages done to the transmission line is
included in this Exhibit.
A Damage Agreement Between Louisiana Land and Gravel Company, LLC and the Farmer's
Water Development Company which provides for mine excavation within 50 of the centerline of
the ditch and also provides for stockpiling of material within 15-feet of the edge of the ditch is
included in this Exhibit.
'Taken from PART 2. SAFETY RULES FOR OVERHEAD LINES, Table 232-1, Titled
Vertical Clearance of Wires, Conductors, and Cables Above Ground, Roadway, Rail or Water
Surfaces.
S-1
