Therefore, exposure of ground <br />water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />^ The proposed operation will consume ground water by: ^ evaporation, ^ dust control, ^ <br />reclamation, ^ water removed N the mined product, ^ processing, ^ other: . <br />Prior to initiation of these uses of ground water, the applicant will need to obtain either a gravel pit or <br />other type of well permit, as applicable. However, prior to obtaining a permit, an approved water <br />supply plan or decreed plan for augmentation is required. <br />^ Prior to approving a well permit, the applicant must conduct a field inspection of the site and <br />document the locations of all wells +vithin 600 fee[ of the permit area. The applicant must then obtain <br />a waiver of objection from all well owners +vith +vells within 600 feet of the permit area or request a <br />hearing before the State Engineer. <br />® Other: Applicant tnust provide this office with evidence that there has not been any excavation below <br />[he water table an}~vhere +vithin this site. [f there has been excavation below the +vater table, <br />groundwater would be exposed, leading to consumption of groundwater by evaporation and water <br />removed in the mined product, and through processing of the product. If groundwater has been <br />exposed, applicant must amend the current temporary substitute supply plan to take. into effect the <br />consumption of groundwater. Also, if groundwater has been exposed, applicant must obtain a well <br />permit and conduct a field inspection of the site to document the locations of all wells within 600 feet <br />of [he site. <br />COMMENTS: Note that the applicant's current temporary substitute supply plan expires on April 14, 1996. <br />
