North Thompson Ck. Mr. Walker discussed the concrete base retained (former water flume) here in North Thompson Ck., another former flume base downstream, and two additional concrete bases retained in the Middle Fork/ N. Thompson Ck. DMG has discussed retention of these structures with landowners and the USFS biologist. DMG will further research these structures and address them in the proposed decision for this bond release. We continued the inspection to the bridge upstream from Mine 1 that is currently scheduled for removal, the new fan. site reclamation and reclaimed road, and the old fan site reclamation and associated road. These areas and the roadway are stable. We inspected the former flame bases in Middle Ck. as noted above, and we concluded the inspection with observations of the former loadout pad and corridor. These areas aze stable and well vegetated. As indicated above, water treatment facilities noted are approved for retention. This includes the former mine dewatering site and concrete manhole access at Mine 3, and the treatment ponds at the former main facilities area. These areas appear to have functioned well as designed, remain stable, and should continue to function as approved for postmining retention. Mines 1 and 3 were both dischazging into the long pond during the inspection, and the treatment ponds/cells were functioning as designed. The two power poles to the Mine 1 portal azea are also approved for retention. This concluded the inspection. OSM has reviewed the bond release application package, and the revegetation success sampling report provided in the application is currently being reviewed by OSM / WRCC technical specialists. DMG has provided a thorough bonding /bond release history of the mine to OSM subsequent to the inspection.
