This letter is a corrected notice of
the letter I sent in September of 2002 which stated that $10,000 of the current $68,808
would be withheld. This corrected notice confirms that all of the current required bond of
$68,808 would be released and no further liability would remain for the site. The mine was
backfilled, graded, topsoiled and reseeded in the fall of 1992. As required by Colorado law,
whenever any part of any coal mine bond is to be released, all interested parties must be
notified. This letter is to notify you that Sunland Mining Corporation is requesting full bond
release of $68,808 for successful backfilling, grading and revegetation of the Apex #2 Mine.
The full application for the release submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and
Geology is on file at the County Clerk's office in Steamboat Springs. All information on the
mine location, maps, revegetation, etc. is contained in that application. If you have any
questions, comments or disagreements with the proposed bond release, please notify the
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology at 1313 Sherman Street, 2nd Floor, Denver,
Colorado, 80203.
If you have any questions on the release, do not hesitate to call me. T can be reached at the
number shown above. Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
~9 ~~
Greg Lewicki
Greg Lewioki and Associates
