BLM is experimenting with some special surface
roughening techniques which may change from time to time as those techniques are attempted
and verified do-able. Our 112 Reclamation Plan allows for those techniques and at the same
time gpalifies for requirements of the Mined Reclamation Act, such as slope stabilization by use
of top piling, benching, and revegetation. We see no conflict between State law requirements
and the current Free Use Permit Stipulations, which Ouray County is obliged to perform.
Any changes to the F.U.P. Stipulations shall be kept within the pazameters of the Mined Land
Reclamation Permit, or revisions or amendments shall be acquired fast.
Please contact me for any questions, discussion or additional requirements for this permit
application.
Sincerely,
_ ..GEOLOGICAL SERVICES
~!~ ~ .
Dou las L.
