All reviews <br />and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated <br />thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise coal mining operations at the New Elk Mine. <br />The technical revision addresses culvert and ditch designs for sediment <br />control structures already in place. <br />The New Elk permit area is located approximately 25 miles west of Trinidad, <br />Colorado, along Highway 12, and is further described as follows: <br />All or portions of Sections 12, 14, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, <br />27, 28, 34, 35 and 36, Township 33 South, Range 68 West; <br />and portions of Sections 1 and 2, Township 34 South, <br />Range 68 West. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map <br />of Vigil. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspec- <br />tion at the Las Animas County Courthouse, 200 East First Street, Room 104, <br />Trinidad, Colorado. Written comments may be submitted and additional informa- <br />tion may be obtained from the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman Street. Denver. Colorado 80203.
