Division Director <br />~ Natural Resource Trustee <br />Deaz Party and/or Interested Person: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received timely objection to the amendment <br />application for the 112r permit for the Sandco Pit, as named above. <br />A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on August 13, 2004, beginning at 10:00 a.m., and will be <br />arranged as a telephone conference call. Those wishing to participate must be present at the Division's Durango <br />field office, 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, Colorado, or at the Division's main office in Denver (see <br />letterhead address). <br />Ms. Sandy Brown will preside as the Pre-hearing Conference Officer, from the Denver office location. Ms. Brown <br />will ask the parties to assist her in preparing apre-hearing order to propose to the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />(Board) that identifies the parties, the issues, possible witnesses and exhibits for the hearing, and an estimate of the <br />time needed for the hearing. She will also discuss the Division's review process, as well as the rights and <br />responsibilities of parties. <br />Staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Board. The hearing on the amendment <br />application for the Sandco Pit 112c permit will occur during the September 22-23, 2004, Boazd meeting at 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver, Colorado. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the <br />matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard. Decisions reached <br />by the Pre-hearing Conference Officer are not final until adopted or approved by the Board at the Formal Public <br />Hearing.
