Cattany
Re: Trapper Mine 2002 Annual Reclamation Report, TR-91 Division Director
Dear Mr. Luke:
The Division has received Trapper Mining, Int.'s response, dated May 1, 2003, regazding the 2002
Annual Reclamation Report, TR-91. This submittal resolved most of the Division's concerns regazding
reclaimed acreage figures. However, The Colorado Division of Mineral and Geology Annual
Reclamation Report form no longer agrees with the Trapper's reported reclaimed acreage. This form
reflects 50.9 acres backfilled and graded, topsoiled and seeded in 2002. TMI reports the total number of
acres previously seeded as 3,290.4 acres on this form, yet section 1.2.6 in Appendix W: 2002 Annual
Report, states the total revegetated acreage is 2,999.4 acres. Please bring these values into agreement.
Section 1.2.6 also indicates that an additiona1342 acres within the permit boundazy but outside the
topsoil stripping limits have also been revegetated. Could TMI please elaborate on what this 342 acres
refers to? Please call me should you have any questions regazding the Divisions concerns.
Sincerely,
anet Binns
Enviro ental xptectioy Specialist
C:/jhb/C81010/2003 TR/ARR letter.doc
