i i <br />III'IIIIIIIIIIIIIII ioulderntCOR80a023 <br />sss august 19, 1988 <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />Minfad Land Reclamation Division s l ~~~' ~~® <br />1313 Sherman Street sa <br />Denver, CO 80203-2273 <br />AU G 2 21988 <br />Attn: Dan Hernandez MINED LAND <br />REC~gMATION bIVIS10N <br />Dean Mr. Hernandez: <br />After re-thinking our conversation on site the 17th of <br />August, I would like to ammend the letter-I gave you at that <br />time. <br />On the subject of crushing ore: It is imperitive that <br />we have crushing facilities for small ammounts of high-grade, <br />probably not in excess of 400-500 pounds per day. <br />The reason for this is that if the ore is in a larger size <br />a:~d makes a good mineral specimen, it tends to "disappear" into <br />someone's pocket or mineral collection when sent to a mill. <br />T1aiS high-grade would be crushed to a very small size and <br />stored in steel drums within the mine shop area and proceseBd <br />off-site at a mill or smelter. <br />The lower grade ore would be stored in the proposed <br />ore storage area and would not be crushed on site but would <br />be sent to a custom mill off-site <br />Ttie crusher we intend to use is a 4 inch Keene Model RC- <br />46 which is a rooler-scraper crusher on a portable trailer, <br />or the equivalent electrical size when we get electricity. <br />Sin.. arely, <br />H rry Covey <br />P.
