• • ~;~, ~: ~L~-1111111111111111111
~~ ~~' ~ I
-~~, ~ ___1 1.
April 15, 1989
Governor Roy Romer
State Capitol Building
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Sir:
We are very concerned about the strip mining being proposed in the
Colorado Springs area,ie; Waldo Canyon and Williams Canyon and the
proposed amendment to the development of Snyder Quarry.
The beauty and naturalness of the area will be forever scarred and
decimated, as the Castle Concrete's previous abomination has already
done. It is a public disgrace:
The dust polution is already bad, as is the blasting noise and tremors
caused by Snyder Quarry.
The idea of cutting the medium for the trucks to enter Highway 24 is
an accident waiting to happen.
Colorado has a special beauty and ambiance, which will be forever
ruined by the mining of the walls which can never be replaced.
Please don't let it be destroyed. Please help:'.:'
Sincerely, ~
.% ~ ,
,- ~'~'~
2914 Cedar Heights Dr.
Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904
