Hydrology <br />1. The water monitoring data has confirmed the predictions of the Golden Eagle <br />PHC and CHIS. Additional information concerning the update of these sections of the <br />Permit Document will be submitted under separate cover at a later date. <br />2. The stormwater plan for the Golden Eagle Mine is currently being prepared <br />and will be submitted under separate cover at a later date. <br />3. The results of the updated water users' survey are attached for your review <br />and approval. Revised pages TOC iv, 2.04-9, 9a, 17, 17a, and 19a thru 19f and Exhibit 8 are <br />attached for inclusion into the Permit Document. <br />4. The three underground sumps are used to settle suspended solids in the mine <br />before water is pumped to the surface for discharge through the sediment control system. <br />These sumps are used to gather the water and are effective in settling the solids. As the <br />sumps fill with solids, they are taken out of service and cleaned with a bobcat. Solids are <br />either disposed of in the refuse disposal area on the surface or placed in abandon areas of <br />the mine.
