Re: Seneca 11 Mine (Perntit No. C-80-005) Permit Renewal Application No. 3 Dear Mr. Green: The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on August 2l, 1996, a permit renewal application for a permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-80-005 by Seneca Coal Company. was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate from this date of filing. The applicant proposes to continue surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately nine miles southeast of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: Township 5 North, Range 87 West of the 6th Principal Meridian: Section I: All Section 2: All Section 3: Portions of E'kE'k Section Il: NE'/a, N'/x NW'/, NW'/a SE'/. Section 12: All Section 13: N'k N'fi N'fi SE'/a NW'k, NE'/a SE'/a, and Portions of SE'/a SE'/a and Township 6 North, Range 87 West of the 6th Principal Meridian: Section 27: Portions of SE'/ SW'/a, SW'/ SW'/a, SW'/a SE'/a and SE'/a SE'/. Section 34: E'k E'k, NW'/a NE'/,and Portions of NE'/.
