Kaiser Ventures, Inc. would like to inform you that notice is hereby give that a Phase III bond
release application to release 73.5 acres for mining permit number C-81-024 approved March 12,
1984, for Kaiser Ventures, Inc. Colorado Coal Mine No. l located in Huerfano County, Colorado
has filed with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. Kaiser Ventures, Inc. is the
applicant and its business address is 3633 E. Inland Empire Boulevard, Suite 850, Ontario,
California 91764.
This Phase III bond release relates to appropriate revegetation success of the surface disturbance
areas which were reclaimed in 1989 and 1992. If released, the current bond of $37,500.00 would
be released in total. The mine site is located three miles north of Wallenberg, Colorado. These
lands may be located on the USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle named Wallenberg North. The permit
area is located: beginning at a point at the NW corner of Section 25, Range 67 West, Township
27 South, Huerfano Counry, Colorado: thence 5 87° 16' 1" E 1518 feet; thence S 37° 58' 13"
E 6605 feet; thence S 3° 17' 1" W 189 feet thence N 89° 45' 44" W 5397 feet. thence N 1° 47'
6" W 5448 feet. The area contains approximately 437 acres.
