The
first request is for approval of new horizontal well pads on south end of solution
mining well field. The enclosed map illustrates new pad WRNM 4-3H and
access road/product pipeline near Section 26, south boundary line. The new
areas for disturbance in 1994 would total 2.8 acres (1.7 ac. for WRNM 4-3H
pad and 1.1 ac. for access road and pipeline). As a result of the success in
drilling 2000 foot cavity #3, WRNM plans to drill 3500 feet for cavities #4 and
5. Therefore, the second request is approval to drill 3500 feet for cavities #4
and 5. The 1995 disturbance would include area for future horizontal well
associated with cavity #5, and would disturb a total of 3.1 acres.
The enclosed map "Site Plan for 1994" illustrates disturbed areas (prior to 1994),
and planned 1994 disturbed areas. The 1994 disturbed areas include: monitoring
well 26-94-1M over cavity #3 which was completed under technical revision
approved March 22, 1994; and this technical revision for new well WRNM 4-
3H. The two vertical wells associated with cavity ##4, wells WRNM 4-1V and
4-2V are within permitted areas for 1994 disturbance. The 1995 area planned
for disturbance would be for another horizontal well (cavity #5) running parallel
to cavity #4.
Total disturbed acreage to date is 49.2 acres of the permitted 73 acres. The new
well WRNM 4-3H with a pad of 250' X 300', plus access road 32' X 1434'
would increase disturbed acreage by 2.8 acres in 1994. Another 3.1 acres would
be disturbed in 1995 for a total of 55.1 acres. The 1995 horizontal well would
White River Nahcolite Minerals, LlmJted_~. IIIty Company
P. O.
