For your information, I have enclosed design drawings for the Mill Water Return Line
Project. Much of the pipeline right-of--way has already been cleared of timber during our
past beetle control logging effort. The pipeline will mostly follow our existing upper
tailing road or future upper intercept canal road. The short section of pipeline and road
between the tailing pond and the upper tailing road will be dual purpose, also serving as
the haul road to the south topsoil stockpile. The access road along the pipeline is designed
to be a temporary/minimally traveled road. Areas that were used for log decking locations
will be utilized as staging areas for fusing and storing pipe and bedding materials.
Henderson is planning to complete this project as presented in the enclosed drawings and
specifications. Work is scheduled to begin after snowmelt this spring. The project is
expected to take one field season to complete. Work in other areas of the overall project
to replace Henderson's current mill water return system will be presented to the Division
in the future as needed.
Enclosed is one copy of the project design drawings, one copy of the technical
construction specifications, arevised Henderson Mill Tailing Pond Hydrology Report by
W.W. Wheeler, and a check covering the required technical revision fee.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions or are in need of any further information.
1 can be reached at (303) 569-3221 ext. 2214.
Very t~rul~y~yours,
Erich Bower
Environmental Engineer
Climax Molybdenum Company
Enclosures
Cc: MitchLapp-Climax
Anne Beierle -Climax
Rich Wagner-Climax
Dave Long-Climax
Kurt Keskimaki -Climax
