Caltany
Division Director
The Division of Minerals and Geology has received a revision for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The revision
was called complete on July 3, 2003. The decision due date is September 1, 2003.
Bowie Resources Limited is proposing four exploration drill holes as potential backup to the exploration
drill holes proposed in Technical Revision No.25. The four drill hole locations aze located along the
Tenor Creek Road just west of Tenor Creek, on BLM-managed surface land and within the current
Bowie No. 2 Mine permit boundary. Depending on road conditions, access may be on public roads
coming from Stephens Gulch Road, from Garvin Mesa and on land managed by the BLM and the USDA-
Forest Service. No new or upgraded roads would be needed. There would be a total disturbance of about
2.0 acres. The four holes maybe converted into long term hydrologic monitoring holes.
This revision is available for review at the Paonia Public Library, 140 Grand Avenue, Paonia, CO 81428.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
s~~u~h
P
Environmental Protection Specialist
JJD/Ahd
CLI-01_C1996083_J1D_20030703_94818 AA-1
