I have the following comments for tl3e operator.
MCC is proposing the addition of a new clean water ditch (DCW-7) at the base of ROM
expansion. [[appears that the flow to the ditch, coming off of the outslope of the expansion area,
will be disturbed area runoff that should be treated prior to discharge off-site. Please revise the
proposal to include treatment of runoff from all disturbed areas.
2. MCC indicates that topsoil from the expansion area will be placed in [he water tank topsoil
stockpile. When this stockpile was permitted, DMG based its approval on a maximum of X3,000
cy of soil in the pile to ensure stability, and required slope stability monitoring. The additional
soil material from the ROM expansion will alter the basis of that approval. Please submit
additional information to demonstrate that the pile will remain stable with the addition of the
ROM expansion area soil.
Should you or the operator have questions or need additional information, let me know.
