MAIVACEMF.NT
On behalf of Bowie Resources Limited, enclosed is an application for a permit revision to
incorporate the longwall mining technique into the permit. The proposed permit revision will
provide the operator flexibility to employ both room and pillar and longwall mining techniques.
This revision will not alter the 2.0 million ton per year permitted production.
The approved mine plan contains longwall panels so the mine plan configuration will not change
as a result of this permit revision. Projection of mining within the longwall panels is the sole
revision to the mine plan. The subsidence prediction will not be revised because subsidence
magnitudes created by longwall extraction were utilized in the Subsidence Prediction located in
Volume III, Exhibit 15.
The following revised pages and maps comprise this permit revision application:
PaQe/MaQ Comment
2-OS-1 - 4i Added the longwall mining technique to the description of mining
2.05-105 Added the longwall mining technique to be used for coal removal
Map 14 & 27 Projected mining within the longwall panels
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely
J.
