The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has issued a proposed decision to Approve Bond Release Application No. 2 (SL-2) for the Keenesburg Strip Mine, Permit No. C-1981- 026. The mine is opereted by Coors Energy Company under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release applicafion was submitted by Coors Energy Company on August 25, 2004. The request is a Phase I release (backfilling, grading, topsoiling, and drainage re~stablish- ment). The bond release area totals 51.76 acres, composed of severe) parcels in the per- mit area. The affected area is located in Weld County, approximately 7 miles north of Keenesburg, Colorado. Copies of the proposed derision are available for review at Ne Coloredo Divison of Minerals and Geology office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the office of Me Weld County Clerk and Recordef. Any person who has an interest which is or may be adversely affected may request an adjudicatory hearing regarding this proposed decision. Requests for a hearing must be made in writing within thirty (30) days of the first publication of this notlce, and shall state with reasonable specificity the reasons for the request and objections to the proposed deri-~ Sion.
