Cattany
Division Director
NaN21 Resource Trustee
The Division of Minerals and Geology has completed a review of the permit application
package, inspection reports, and other pertinent information as part of the renewal for
Permit No. C-1980-006. Below are two additional comments based on a review of the
revegetation plan and process.
1. Permit page 780-84b (rev. 12/99) indicates that a "summary of vegetation
data" is presented in Table 48. Table 48 in the permit is topsoil suitability
information. Please correct that reference to the "Statistical Summary of
Vegetation Types" table in the text.
2. Permit page 780-85 (rev. 12199) directs the reader to Table 47 for "Disturbed
Area Production, Cover and Composition by Life Form." Table 47 in the permit
is actually "Soil Chemical and Physical Properties." Please provide a correct
reference to that table in the text.
A revised calculation shows that the bond held by the Division is sufficient for the
remaining reclamation. A copy of the calculation is enclosed.
Please respond by January 13, 2006, so these issues can be resolved for renewal.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 303-866-4928.
Sincerely,
,~li~~~~~
~' Jim Burnell
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
