... <br />Mr. Dan Mathews <br />August 7, 1984 <br /> <br />Page Two <br />• The pump station immediately north of the substation does <br />not exist and has been eliminated from the map (the water <br />line connecting the pump station to the mine portal has also <br />been eliminated. <br />• The scale shown to the south of the mine office does not <br />exist and has been eliminated from the map. <br />• The topsoil stockpile shown east-northeast of the existing <br />shop/warehouse does not exist and has been eliminated from <br />the map. <br />• The concrete pad west of the shop building is actually 10' x <br />40' rather than 40' x 40'. <br />All of the changes noted are in areas which have been previously <br />disturbed and no additional disturbance is planned. Also, the entire <br />facilities area drains to the Facilities Area Sedimentation Pond so no <br />hydrologic impacts are anticipated. <br />The Bear Coal Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan is <br />currently being revised to reflect the relocation and modification of <br />the oil/fuel storage area. The new storage area will be constructed <br />in compliance with State and Federal environmental and safety <br />regulations. <br />Your prompt review of the enclosed information and approval of this <br />minor modification of the Bear Coal Company, Inc. operating plan will <br />be appreciated.
