If all soiuees of surface:and.groundwater for domestic, agricultural, industrial;.etc. use <br />have not been identified, the Division recommends Trapper. Mining Inc. construct a table <br />that lists 1} the different use types of. use (domestic, agricultural, etcj 2) the sources of <br />water for these uses (specific. aquifers, streams, of .springs), and. the general location <br />(withid.the permit area of within an area adjacent to the:permit.area).of these sources of <br />water. <br />Permit Section 2.75.4 (Ground Water UseJ beginning with page 2-524 which includes tables <br />2.7-22c and 2.7-22d identifies surface and groundwater sources within and adjacent to <br />Trapper's permit boundary. The tables also provide information concerning construction data, <br />use etc of these sources. Additionally, map M31 presents the location of water sources within <br />and adjacent to the permit boundary. <br />b: Following the identification of each domestic, agricultural; industrial, etc source of.water, <br />please identify the extent to which the .mining operations :inay result in contamination, <br />diminution; or interruption of each of those sources. . <br />Permit Section 4.8.2, Impacts and Restoration of Ground Water, discusses possible impacts to <br />water regimes within and adjacent to the permit area. No negative effects are predicted, there- <br />jare no mitigative measures are required. <br />c. If the mining operation may result in wntamination, diminution, or interruption of a source <br />of water of legitimate use, please identify as described in Rule 2.04.7(3) those "alternative <br />sources of water supply or sources of augmentation water: that could be developed to <br />replace the existing sources:" Rule 2.04.3(3) goes on to require that "that alternate or sub- <br />stituted water should be of a quantity or quality so.as.to meet the requirements of. which <br />the water has .normally been used (see Articles 83 and 92 of. Title 37 of the Colorado <br />Revised Statutes)." . <br />Permit Section 4.8.1 describes the impacts of mining operations on water resources. As stated, <br />no impacts are expected jor water resources within and adjacent to the permi! boundary, there- <br />fore, no alternate source of water is required <br />2. Rule 2.04.8: The permit is in compliance with this Rule. <br />3. Rule 2.:04.I1:.This Rule requires the application to include a study of: <br />a. Fish and fish habitats within the permit area; <br />b. :Fish and fish habitats within certain portions of areas adjacent to. the permit area, as <br />determined by the Division; <br />c. Wildlife and wildlife habitats within the permit area; and <br />d.' Wildlife and wildlife habitats within certain portions of areas adjacent to the permit area, <br />as detertined by the Division. <br />
