MANAGEMENT
The DMG's letter dated May 9, 2005, transmitted its adequacy comments regarding the
referenced technical revision. Following are Bowie Resources responses to the DMG's
comments and concerns:
1. The black 12" plastic culvert is piped to the thickener overFlow. Rather than
allowing the thickener to occasionally overflow onto the wash plant site, plant
personnel installed the12" plastic pipe to direct the overflow directly to a
collection ditch. There is a valve on the thickener overflow that must be
opened in case of an upset to drain off excess water.
2. - 6. No response required.
9. Map 21-2 was amended to show the underdrains at the D-Seam portal.
10. - 11. Nor response required.
Map 21-2 is enclosed.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~~~
J. E. Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
cc: Wm. A. Bear.
