SNIDER <br />SNIDER AGGRE~]GATB, INC. <br />Dear Sirs: <br />This letter is intended to supersede correspondence from Fremont Count}' concerning <br />the above application dated July 8, 1982. Since that time the County has been pro- <br />vided with additional inforn~ation fran the applicant concerning the la:ation and <br />scope of its proposed and exisiting mining activities. <br />The 25.1± acres which are the subject of the conversion permit are located on pro- <br />perty subject to the jurisdiction of both Fremnt County and the City of Canon <br />City. For ease of discussion I have identified three distinct areas of differing <br />zoning classification and differing control by local government. The areas are <br />all located in Section 31, Township 18 South, Range 70 West, of the 6tY. P.M. <br />and are described as Area I and Area II in the permit application. The: three <br />sub-areas in that larger land area are: <br />Area A: F'rzNF'rd`1NA; and E'~SEy,NW4 Zoning classification: Industrial. <br />Local government: Fremont County. <br />Area B: NW3,NF1; and SWy-;NF};. Zoning classification: Agriculture. <br />Local govP*r~nt: Fremont County. <br />Area C: N41gSF/'o. Local government: City of Canon City. <br />The most recent Mining Plan Map prepared by the applicant and submitted to the <br />County on July 21, 1982 is attached to this letter. Area A as describe3 above <br />is superimposed on that map with green-hatch lines. Area B as described above <br />is superimposed on that map with red-hatch lines. Area C as described above is <br />superimposed on that map with black-hatch lines. <br />Because Area C is entirely within the corporate limits of the City of Canon City, <br />Fremont County has no authority to provide a statement concerning ccx~liance <br />with local land use laws and regulations for that area. <br />
