Subbasins Al and Al l contribute runoff to drainage structure D1, and dischazge from D1 <br />outfalls off the Upper Bench ledge (cliff face) through discharge point DP1 into subbasin <br />A7. The inlet time for subbasin Al is 36.38 minutes and the inlet time for A11 is 8.10 <br />minutes. Since subbasin Al is hydraulically contiguous to subbasin Al I, the total inlet <br />time is the sum of the two times or 44.48 minutes. Channel time in drainage structure D1 <br />is estimated to be 1.01 minutes. The estimated total travel time is therefore 45.49 <br />minutes. <br />Subbasins A2 and A12 simultaneously contribute runoff to drainage structure DS2 which <br />will outfall into subbasin A7 by way of pour-off DP2 (or DP1, depending on final <br />grading). The inlet time for subbasin A2 is 35.98 minutes and the inlet time for A12 is <br />22.14 minutes. The estimated channel time in drainage structure DS2 is estimated to be <br />0.46 minutes. The lazger time of subbasin Al was added to the estimated channel flow <br />time to arrive at a total travel time of 36.44 minutes. <br />Subbasins A3 and A13 simultaneously contribute runoff to drainage structure DS3 which <br />will outfall into subbasin A7 by way of pour-off DP2. The inlet time for subbasin A3 is <br />37.18 minutes and the inlet time for A13 is 14.76 minutes. The estimated channel time in <br />drainage structure DS3 is estimated to be 1.08 minutes. The lazger time of subbasin A3 <br />was added to the estimated channel flow time to arrive at a total travel time of 37.06 <br />minutes. <br />Subbasins A4 and A14 simultaneously contribute runoff to drainage structure DS4 which <br />will outfall into drainage structure DSS at the Reseazch Mine bench. The distance for <br />runoff to travel from the road (subbasin A14) to channel DS4 is approximately 12 feet, <br />hence, travel time for runoff to travel from the road surface to the drainage channel is <br />significantly less than that for runoff in the furthest part of subbasin A4. The inlet time <br />for subbasin A4 is 38.10 minutes and the inlet time for A14 is 9.77 minutes. The <br />estimated channel time in drainage structure DS4 is estimated to be 2.88 minutes. The <br />larger time of subbasin A4 was added to the estimated channel flow time to arrive at a <br />total travel time of 40.98 minutes. <br />subbasin AS will dischazge runoff to a small section of drainage channel DSS <br />immediately upstream of dischazge point DP3. Drainage channel DSS will consist of a <br />widened and recontoured channel within the existing natural drainage at this location. <br />Subbasins A4 and A14 will discharge runoff at this location through drainage structure <br />DS4, and Subbasins A6 and A15 will discharge runoff at this location through drainage <br />structure DS6. Because the Subbasins discharge to a common point, the inlet time for <br />each subbasin will apply individually. The inlet time for subbasin AS is 105.97 minutes. <br />The estimated channel time in drainage structure DSS is estimated to be 0.45 minutes. <br />The total travel time for DSS is estimated to be 105.46 minutes. <br />Subbasins A6 and A15 simultaneously contribute runoff to drainage structure DS6 which <br />will outfall into drainage structure DSS at the Research Mine bench.
