Small Area Exemations: Permit C-81-071.
Per our discussion of 19 March, CYCC is requesting small area exemptions for two pazcels.
The first is comprised of some 1.5 acres situated between the Stoker Pad small area exemption
and the Warehouse/Shop small area exemption. Drainage is for the most part static, with any
flow being treated by either the Stoker Pad silt fence or the Warehouse/Shop rock check dam.
The second parcel consists of some 5.6 acres of 1982 seeding along the Mine 2 access road
below Pond K. Flow is conveyed across the road by means of low water crossings to allow free
flow to a stock pond, sump, and rock filter on the west side, and to a rock filter on the east side.
The stockpond and sump were approved for alternative control by a previous minor revision
involving the Pond K topsoil pile. The rock filters would be installed when ground conditions
allowed access to equipment.
An 8 X 1 I map section has been enclosed for your reference. The areas will be delineated on
the revised Map 9A (Hydrologic Features and Sediment Control) which will be included in the
forthcoming Technical Revision on Sediment Control.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,

Marcus A.
