Hydrodynamics
completed this report on behalf of my clients, who o~vn the property immediately
downstream from and adjacent to the quarry. The quarry's submission of the stud}' was
required as a corrective action in your June 4, 1999, inspection report.
My clients have been cxperiencin~ major problems .With flooding and sedimentation. llr.
C~ifield's report traces those problems to the quarry's operations. His report concludes
that these problems will continue because the quarry has not rebuilt the sediment
containlnettt system correctly, and because the quarry intends to expand its operations
over time to include the state section (640 acres) it has leased.
On the basis of Dr. Fifield's report, i reglrest that you find the quarry's corrective action
-i tadequate, and that the Roard issue a cease and desist order to the quarry.
Yours tr Ilg ,
Lori Potter
1 otter kh~;k.com
enclosure
P, 02/10
1:41 UpL~:..nil'i titr..~i /.tinirc JIY)
D: nv.r / C:dol ndu i.0?07, • I?55
I'L/iiq /'9(. 9~I17 I ~x /::U7/?0 i~%711$
