NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology proposes to Approve with Conditions Permit Renewal <br />Application No. 2 (RN-2), submitted by Oakridge Energy Inc for a coal mining permit at the Carbon <br />Junction Mine (Permit No. C-1992-080). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining and/or <br />reclamation operations at the site. <br />The Carbon Junction Mine is located in La Plata County, approximately 2 miles southeast of Durango, <br />Colorado. Coal interest at this surface mine is Private, and the surface to be affected is Private land. The <br />permit area encompasses approximately 215.13 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 3433-101 et seq., C.R.S., <br />and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance", including any stipulations, is on file for <br />public inspection at the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215 Centennial Building, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the La Plata County Clerk's Office, 1060 E Second <br />Ave, Durango, CO 81301. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed <br />decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed <br />decision. Such request must be made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must <br />be in writing, and must state with reasonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to <br />the proposed decision. <br />
