Date (if no ddte stamp):%2
Re: Varna Companies request for Regular (112) Permit for Reclamatiori
To Wham It May Concern:
We are writing to voice our concern regarding the request by Varna Companies.
We are very much concerned with the permit based on the information we have
received to date. The information we have received is that there will be a need to
drill a well for this process within 600 feet of our well. 111/e have been requested
by Varra Companies, multiple times, to sign and agree to a "600 foot welt
spacing statement°; something we are not comfortable signing nor agreeing to.
We are extremely concerned to the impact of our well and water supply it this
permit is granted. We currently are using our well water for agricufturaf means
fnr pasture supplement for our horses as well as their source of water. If we
were to loose any of our well's capacity, it could be de#rimental to our horse
operation. We are concerned about the impact now as the mining is directly
behind our property and we have noticed that it takes longer to cycle the pump,
and the quality of the water has diminished. Additionally, we feel that the current
operation has caused. additional surface dirt to drift from their acxess road to our
property. Recently, since we have had snow, it is not an issue. However, in the
late spring and summer months, the dust does fly freely from that road.
We would:appreciate ourconcems-being considered in this matter. We also
would appreciate being kept up to date on this process or informed of any
additional information you may require from us.
Sin rel
,;h~~1.Qh,8Y~
Sharon Carbaugh & Kevi Carbaugh
1933 E, 16"' St.
Greeley, CO 80637
~'d~~°~a~l~~
DEC 11 2003
CC: Weld County Clerk to the Board "`ieision of A9inerals and Gealagg
