Basin plans to drill
one !tole to establish the extent ofmining ofthe First North Mains and to determine conditions at the mine.
No access roads will be required. Access will be achieved using existing ranch roads. All equipment used
will be rubber tired vekticles. The area is relatively flat and will not require any excavation to develop a
drill-site. Absorbent mats will be used, when necessary, to prevent contamination of the soil from
incidental leaka~c of oil or hydraulic fluids.
A portable tank will be used to contain drilling fluids. The area to be disturbed by drilling will be
approximately four (4) feet by six (6) feet in area. Topsoil will be salvaged from any disturbed azeaa. 'rile
site will be reclaimed as soon as possible after completion of drilling. The seed mix used will conform to
the surface owners requirements. Since the azea is pastureland, the recd mix is expected to be a
combination of alfalfa, brome and other grasses.
Please call me if there are any questions.
Sine • ly,
t~
Ron Thompson
Enclosure
