The conference will be held in Room 318 of the Centennial Building at 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado. Any person who wishes to make comments regarding this proposed pre- hearing order should send them to Harley Ernst, the pre-hearing officer, • in care of Gregg R. Squire, Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203 . Comments made by mail must be received prior to the pre-hearing meeting on June 5, 1997 . Comments may also be made verbally or submitted in writing at the June 5, 1997 meeting. The pre-hearing officer is expected to issue a draft-hearing order prior to the formal Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) Hearing on June 25 or 26, 1997 . However, the draft-hearing order will not become final unless and or until the Board adopts the Order at the formal hearing. Following is a list of some items of clarification: 1) Any person or organization who wishes to be a party at the formal Board hearing on June 25 and/or 26, 1997 should submit a written statement expressing the wish to be a party at that hearing. This written statement should include the party's name, a list of witnesses the person or organization intends to present at the hearing, a brief summary of each witness's expected testimony and a brief description of issues the person or organization wishes the Board to consider at the hearing. This statement should be received by the Division prior to the June 5, 1997 pre-hearing or may be delivered at the pre-hearing conference. An oral request may also be made at the June 5, 1997 pre-hearing conference. As the enclosed proposed pre-hearing order indicated, the Division is requesting the pre-hearing conference officer to incorporate • these requirements in an "Order Concerning the Pre-Hearing Conference" ( "Order" ) at the beginning of the pre-hearing conference.
