Ratliff, Pit # 8 <br />Reclamation Plan <br />VRECEI~/E~ <br />SEP 1 i 0 2001 <br />Division of Minereb and Geology <br />Fertilization of not less than 40# nitrogen and 40# phosphorous will be applied unless a soil <br />analysis indicates sufficient amounts of these elements. Application will be immediate prior to or <br />at the time of seeding. <br />Methods of Seeding: <br />Seed should be planted with a drill on all slopes of 33% (3:1) or flatter. The drill must have the <br />capability of handling the kind and rate of seed being planted. The seed may be broadcast by <br />hand, by mechanical spreader or by hydraulic equipment on areas that are small, to steep or not <br />accessible for seed -drill operations. This specification does not provide for hydraulic application <br />of seed application of seed and mulch in a single operation. <br />Seed planted with a drill shall be covered with soil to a depth of 1/4 to 3/4 inch. Seed planted by <br />the broadcast method shall be incorporated into the surface soil, not to exceed a depth of 3/4 inch, <br />by raking, harrowing or other proven method. <br />Mulching: <br />Mulching material shall be applied immediately before or after seeding.
