These stages represent some changes in the original permit plan.
Stage 1, north of the rivet, remains the same. The new stage
2 includes a dewatering trench along the southwest of the parcel
of East Rigden which lies south of the railroad tracks. As
part of stage 2, this trench will be extended along the south
of the Morrison and Baumgartner parcels in order to drain into
the Poudre. Stage 2 also includes mining the west section of
East Rigden south of the tracks. Stage 3 includes dewatering
and mining the east section of East Rigden south of the tracks.
Stage 4 includes dewatering and mining all of the Baumgartner
parcel. Stage 5 includes dewatering and mining Morrison south
of the railroad. The new stage 6 includes dewatering and mining
land at East Rigden north of the railroad and south of the Poudre.
Stage 7 includes dewatering and mining Morrison north of the
railroad and south of the river. Some of these stages represent
more than one year's activity; it may prove convenient to divide
a stage and dewater and mine one part of it before dewatering
the rest of it.
Depth of Ore Body and Underlying Stratum
The gravel deposit lies 6 to 14.5 feet thick below an over-
burden .5 to 8 feet deep. Pierre shale bedrock Iies approxi-
mately 10 to 19 feet below the ground surface and extends to
a depth of about a mile.
Proposal for Ditch Across County Land
This application includes a request to Larimer County to allow
D-4
