June 27, 2003 <br />Mr. Steve Shuey <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Colorado Division of Minerals & Geology <br />Grand Junction Field Office <br />101 South 3rd Street, Room 215 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501 <br />Re: Monogram - Jo Dandy Permit M-1977-293 <br />Monogram Mines Permit M-1978-222UG <br />Deletion of Historical Sites from Permits. <br />Dear Mr. Shuey: <br />Succession of Operator application packages have been submitted to transfer Monogram-Jo <br />Dandy Permit M-1977-293 and Monogram Mines Permit M-1978-222UG from International <br />Uranium (USA) Corporation (the current "Operator") to Fred Holley. Both Permits include a <br />number of historical mine sites in the original Permit applications which have never been <br />disturbed under the Permits. Furthermore, the original Permit applications include a number <br />of historical sites which have not been disturbed and which aze located on lands for which the <br />current Operator does not have the right of access. <br />Attached are lists, provide by Terry Wetz with the current Operator, of the historical mine <br />sites which were included under the original Permit applications. This list identifies those <br />sites which were not disturbed following issuance of the Permits. The list also identifies those <br />sites listed in the original Permits which were not disturbed and also which are located on <br />lands for which the current Operator does not have the right of access for mining. <br />I request that the transferred Permits on]y include those sites on which disturbance activities <br />have been conducted following issuance of the Permits, and for which a reclamation surety <br />will be required. <br />Sincerely, <br />Fred Holle <br />Y <br />cc: Terry V.
