in the mine area and because a portion of the area is being used to access the phase 1 mine site
and because the azea provides a location for your water tank. Since the Creasote Area is being
disturbed by the mining operation, it must be reclaimed. Reclamation requirements are outlined
in the approved Reclamation Plan. Placement of growth medium and reseeding are the minimum
reclamation requirements for this area.
As we agreed on April 15, 2002, during our phone conversation, the Division will allow an
additional sixty (60) days to submit the $28,150 increase (or some other reduced increase if the
bond requirement is reduced as a result of a resolution of the old wash ponds) in the financial
warranty. The new date is set for June 21, 2002. As we also agreed, if you cannot submit the
increase by the new due date, the item will be presented to the Mined Land Reclamation Board at
the July or August, 2002 Boazd meeting.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at 303-866-4060.
Your tmly,
~~.~_
James Dillie
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: James Stevens
