Banta,
Division Director
I have reviewed the date submitted by Greg Lewicki for the spillway designs.
I recommend that the Division approve the TR, provided that the pond cross
section be changed to show a four-inch diameter primary discharge pipe and
that this pipe be braced, as we had discussed earlier.
According to the pond sizing calculations in the permit, the pond is capable
of completely containing three years of sediment, plus a 25-year/24-hour
event, and still have about three feet of vertical rise before discharging
through the emergency spillway. In addition, the primary discharge diameter
of four inches will not change, only be carried through a smaller pipe than
from the original design.
JJD/bjw
0565E
STAT~OF COLORADO
C C ~• URR~/ Rou-r7EN
