Rockcastle will prepare a demonstration that
post-mining topography is the same as the pre-mining topography and that
it meets approximate original contours:~A status report on the
preliminary finding will be submitted to the Division within four weeks.
-Vegetation monitoring will be re-done this summer per page II. J-12 of
the permit application. Cover data by species SI have enclosed
vegetation guidelines which should be reviewed prior to sampling. This
data will be submitted to the Division and may be utilized for bond
release documentation.
-The Division will re-evaluate the bond by the middle of May. Mr. Korb
requested that the following issues be considered during the
re-evaluation:
°Use of 1 D 9 Dozer, 4 scrapers, 1 motor grader and 1 water truck
for the fleet;
°Consideration of Ryan's experience in the costing of equipment use
and the current Routt County maintenance worker wage for operator
cost;
°Modification of the rock dirt ratio used for both the topsoil
and overburden stockpiles at Pit 4;
°Use of bank cubic yards in the overburden stockpile calculation;
°Elimination of bond associated with structural demolition as the
shop could be given away due to its salvage value;
-Ms. Mowry will make a decision on utilization of these factors in
conjunction with her re-calculation of the bond, and provide a written
basis for her decisions to Rockcastle.
-Rockcastle will prepare a calculation for the bond associated with
implementation of the geortechnical study. This will include a
discussion of the source of material to be used for the buttresses.
Please call me if you have any questions or problems with these timeframes.
Sincerely,
Catherine W.
