Mr. James C. Stevens
August 6, 2001
Page Three
5. Onsite Structures
Response:
The onsite structures at S-4 consist of the processing plant and accessory facilities,
such as an office, a scale, and a scalehouse, etc. TR-002 does not involve these
structures, their use, location, or future disposition once mining and processing are
completed. Therefore, the removal of said structures cannot possibly be germane to
this Technical Revision.
The operator has a considerable investment in the plant and equipment at [hev
S-4 facility and fully intends to remove all equipment and structures, mobile or not,
in order to fully reclaim the site and obtain the release of then reclamation bond.
Demolition costs are estimated to be $5,000.00.
6. Relationship of Reclamation Plan with Possible Master Plan
Response:
Regarding [he question of consistency of the S-4 Reclamation Plan with a
"Master Plan" for Sand Creek, Arapahoe County has no such plan that the operator
is aware of.
This letter attempts to fully respond to the "adequacy issues" raised by the
Division if you have questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
C~-r~~~~
Michael L (Mike) Hart
cc: Bruce Peterson
Brent Brockemeier
