Your
letter indicated that you feel there are a number of "adequacy issues" with the Technical
Revision (TR) package that was submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology
(DMG) on July 9, 2001.
As you know, the proposed TR (002) was prepared at your request because the
existing mining operation did not fully comport with the Mine Plan as approved by the
DMG under TR-001 on July 17, 1998. In point of fact, there is tittle material difference
between the Mine Plans for TR-001 and TR-002 except that the number of acres mined
under TR-002 is less than the number of acres mined under TR-001 and there are only
minor changes in the approved Reclamation Plan.
In your July 26, 2001, letter, you list the following "adequacy issues":
1. Topsoil and overburden;
2. Reclamation ofdisturbed uplands;
3. Relationship of backfill and excavated volumes;
4. Timing of revegetation efforts;
5. On-site structures; and
6. Relationship of Reclamation Plan with possible Master Plan.
In response to the above, please consider the following responses:
1'u u~, ~~~~~
a,,,dJ,r r c, y~~„~~
ll'dlanJ.
