Following are PCC's responses to the DMG's questions:
a. Figure 14-8 was amended to show a screened vent at the high point of the North
Decline dewatering pipe.
b. A design for a debris fin is included on new Figure 14-12.
c. A note was added to Figure 14-8, Section A-A, which states the inlet end of the
dewatering pipe will be held a minimum of 6-feet from the mine floor.
d. The dewatering pipe outfall elevation is above the invert of the highway culvert so
no ponding of water will occur.
2. The four inch siphon pipes are fitted with 1.5 inch inside diameter fittings which can be
converted to valved and screened vent pipes. If the DMG approves the use of the 1.5 inch
diameter vents, they will be converted.
Enclosed are the following permit documents:
Page/Figure Discussion
Tab 14 TOC Added figure 14-12 to table of contents
Figure 14-8 Added notes: debris fin and keeping inlet of pipe above mine floor
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
S"~~
Consulting Engineer
