LnnR
Orvniun D,rrnar
The Division has reviewed Twentymile Coal Company's October 29, 1997 submittal and has the
following comments. Comment numbers follow the same format as the Division's October 1, 1997 letter.
Twentymile Coal Company submitted a revised Mine Plan, Map 23, dated 10/27/97. The revised
Mine plan addresses parts a and b of the Division's adequacy questions stated in our October 1,
1997 letter. Twentymile Coal Company indicates that the Railroad overpass bridge is outside the
projected subsidence. Twentymile Coal Company states that the "monitoring program for the
bridge is presented in the application:' The Division located a monitoring plan for the bridge on
permit page 2.05-128(c). This plan references that monitoring will occur when, "the longwall in
panel 6 Right is 2,00 fee[ from the end of the panel." Wi[h the revised Mine plan, [his scenario is
no longer accurate. Please revise the subsidence monitoring plan for the Railroad overpass and for
Routt County Road No. 27, for approximately 2,000 feet west of the intersection with County
Road No. 33.
2. Division concern has been adequately addressed with the revised Mine plan, Map 23, dated
10/27/97.
3. The Division agrees that with the revised Mine plan (10127/97 version) that update of the Railroad
repeater tower with regards to Rule 2.05.6(6), may be handled in the ongoing Permit Revision No.
4 responses.
Page 2.05-2(a) was appropriately revised. Page 2.05-10(d) still incorrectly identifies Panels 7
right and 8 Right as exceeding 21,000 feet in length. This page also indicates that the Middle
Creek Alluvial Valley Floor will be undermined by Panel 8 R and 9 R, and measures Panel 9R
erroneously at 18,000 feet in length. Previously approved pace 2.05-10(d) (revised 3/5/97 in TR
97-28) stated that the 9 R panel measured 16,300 feet. Please bring [Iris page into agreement with
the current Mine plan.
5. Permit page 2.05-10(c) has been appropriately revised.
STATE OF COLORADO
6. Map 23 has been revised to include the East'/ of Section 12 within the permit boundary as
requested.
