Gunnison No. 1 Mine <br />regarding your letter of August 26th to Paige <br />Seville. Our consultant, Rocky Mountain <br />Geotechnical, has responded to questions 1, 3 and 5. <br />West Elk has responded to questions 2, 4, and 6. <br />Appropriate maps for the stability excerpts, road <br />relocation, and soil pile drainage control are <br />included in the response. Seven (7) copies of the <br />adequacy response have been sent to OSM. In order to <br />expedite our response time, this document contains <br />only adequacy responses. When all questions have <br />been answered, a consolidated volume containing all <br />informaton regarding the technical revision will be <br />submitted to CMLRD and OSM. Work is ongoing at this <br />time to compile the consolidated version. <br />Due to the fact that winter weather is rapidly <br />approaching and a large amount of earthmoving and <br />construction will be necessary to ready the new area, <br />we would sincerely appreciate any effort you can make <br />to expedite approval of this revision.
