'r <br />% • • <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology proposes to approve Technical Revision Application <br />No. 22 for the Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-81-014), submitted by Energy Fuel Coal, Inc. The <br />revision addresses a change in the designation of the Refuse Access Road to the Refuse Haul Road. <br />The Southfield Mine is an underground coal mine located in Fremont County, approximately seven <br />miles south of Florence, Colorado. Loadout facilities are located approximately one mile west of <br />Florence. Coal interest is private, and the surface to be affected is private land. The permit area <br />encompasses approximately 2825 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a fmding that the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101, et seq., and <br />the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including stipulations, are on £le for public inspection at the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Fremont County Clerk's Office, 615 Macon Avenue, Canon City, <br />Colorado 81212. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision <br />may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. <br />Such request must be made within ten (10) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in <br />writing, and must state with reasonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to the <br />proposed decision. <br />
