LOng <br />Division Director <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on January 18, 2001, an application to renew an existing <br />pemtit to conduct coal mining operations at the McClane Canyon Mine was considered complete for the purposes <br />of filing. All review and wmment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the <br />Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />Lodestar Energy, Inc. proposes to continue underground coal mining and reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 20 miles north of Loma, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />All or portions of Sections 15, 16, 21, 22, 27, and 28, T7S, R102W, 6th PM, all in Garfield County. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5-minute Howard Canyon and Garvey Canyon <br />Quadrangle maps. A wpy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk <br />and Recorder's Office, 544 Road Avenue, Grand Junction, CO. For additional infomlatioq to provide written <br />comments, or request an informal conference, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, 80203, (303) 866-3567, within thirty days (30) after the last public <br />notice in the The Daily Sentinel. <br />Sincerely, <br />Dan T.
