I need this to
eliminate the possibWty of an interruption of gravel sales.
The two gulches you refer to, will be almost nonexistent when all gravel Is removed.
However, both have established outlets for water that will not need any additlonal work for
runoff. These two wW need culverts to cross haul road to keep water channeled into outlets
that have been used for this purpose in past years.
Handling of Debris: I spoke to you by telephone concerning this material. Since it is
permissible to burn it, this would permit removal to small amounts as needed, and not expose
surface to blowing.
The unsellable material I refer to is shale. This can be used as subsoIl and applied to pit
Iloor before topsoll is applied. Hopefully this material will not be In large quantltles above gravel
deposits and can be blended into pit Iloor.
1 intend to maintain a 3:1 slope on material mined until removal for fence is complete. if
this operation cannot be coordinated as planned, their will be enough material in place for ridge
reclamation at least on my side.
As (or mining the pit Iloor deeper. Yes, f intend to go deeper at least in some areas. To
stay out of the water the first time over, I doubt wID leave the pit Iloor very level, with a natural
grade in a northerly direction. The shale deposits will determine how this can be done without
excessive cost. After arriving at the North end of areas to be mined, and reclaimed separately,
this will be easy to determine. The irrigatlon seepage can then be directed azound each area, as
shown on maps, to the outlets that have been established before mining.
Compaction of pit Iloor will be no deeper below surface of pit Iloor, if mined deeper or IeR
as ls. Compaction is measured tram the remaining surface.
