• • III IIIIIIIIIIIII III <br />999 <br />EXHIBIT "D" <br />MINING PLAN <br />TRIANTOS GRAVEL PIT <br />A. The gravel pit operation is to be an open pit mine whereby each stage is <br />accomplished as follows: <br />Any topsoil will be stripped and removed to the stockpile area away from <br />the excavation site. <br />2. Rock and any remaining soil will then be removed to the crushing <br />operation for processing. <br />3. The crushed product is sepazated by size, stockpiled at designated areas, <br />then loaded into trucks for distribution to construction sites as needed. <br />B. Earthmoving is accomplished with: <br />Two or three front-end loaders, D-7 Cat Dozer, 621 Cat. Scraper, and <br />Motor Grader <br />2. Dump trucks for removal of finished product. <br />C. There aze no water impoundment areas <br />D. Areas to be affected in all phases are as follows: <br />The Triantos Gravel Pit will be mined on an as needed basis to provide sized gravel chips <br />and 3/4" to 3" gravel stockpiled for use as County road maintenance material when and <br />where it is needed. <br />Future mining activity is as follows, see attached Exhibit "C" for phase locations and <br />configurations: <br />Phase /: covering approximately 12.44 acres encompasses the western one-third of the <br />peRnitted area. The northern portion of Phase I has already been mined for gravel. The <br />southern portion of the phase contains no gravel deposits, leaving only the middle portion <br />with 2.7 acres of minable gravel. Phase I will be mined north to south and will take <br />approximately two (2) mining years to complete. Total area of Phase I is 12.44 acres. <br />-13- <br />
