LAFARGE
NORTH AMERICA
AGGREGATES, CONCRETE
& ASPHALT
4. The stormwater detention pond is not expected to hold water for more than 72 hours,
therefore a Substitute Water Supply Plan will not be necessary.
5. There is an approved discharge permit for discharge from the Howe Pit. The M&G Pit
has been included as part of the stormwater/process water discharge permit for Howe Pit,
permit COG-500430.
6. A 10" diameter pipe carries slurry from the Howe Pit to a designated wash fines storage
area at the north end of the M&G Pit. The same pipe is used in dewatering, carrying
water back to Howe pit for dischazge. Slurry /wash fines will, however, make up only a
small portion of fill material in the M&G Pit. Most fill material will be more coarse and
will be trucked in.
7. Based upon the last partial acreage release granted by the DMG to Albert Frei & sons, the
previous permit holder, it is our understanding that the current permit acreage is ?8.78
acres.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me at 303-657-4054
at your earliest convenience.
