FLAG REH~URCEH, INC. • ~ PAOE 3
TECHNICAL REVieioN - JuLr 1 6, 1999
RECLAMATION PLAN CHANGES
The final reclamation plan will remain ,the same,
except the final shape of the south lake shore and the small
pond area on the north side of the site where a secondary
pond will be created along the river. We will continue to
create wetland areas in the shallows around the lake and
maintain the 3h to lv sloping. We are experimenting with
building areas of rock rubble along the south slope so that
once the lake level stabilizes we will have created shallow
rock beds available to fish for spawning. The Mining Plan
Map shows the location of this area as it exists now. The
Reclamation Plan Map shows how we think the area will look
when mining ends. The exact area covered by, spawning bed
area will vary depending on the amount of waste material we
have to create them.
RECLAMATION MAP REVISIONS
Map Exhibit F shows how we think the site will look
when reclamation is complete. The exact shape of the south
lake line may change depending on what we find as mining
progress in that area.
we have attached a bond calculation eatimatelsheet for your
review, based on the amount of disturbance at the current time.
Steve O'Brian of Environment, Inc., prepared this analysis using
the current and proposed areas of disturbance to calculate the
cost for each action necessary to do reclamation in a worst case
scenario.
Attached are pictures showing the facility, completed slopes
and reclaimed areas done at this time. The photos were taken at
two different times and show some of the same areas. We are also
waiving the normal 30-day approval time for this Technical Revi-
sion but request it be completed within 60 days so we can com-
plete the bonding change in a timely manner. We would like to
change the bond when it is renewed this year to save the surety
company from having to duplicate the work. If you have any
questions please call me at (970) 876-2397 or Steve O Brian at
(303) 423-7297.
Sincerely,
Flag Resources, Inc.
~~~~~.
Fred Frei
President
cc Environment, Inc.
file
enclosures
