Public Notice <br />Lodestar Energy, Inc., Mountain Operations, HC35, Sox 370, Helper, UT, 84526, has filed <br />with the Division of Minerals and Geology a complete application for the renewal of a valid <br />existing permit to conduct mining in Colorado for its Munger Canyon Mine and Loma <br />Loadout, Mining and Reclamation Permit No. C-81-020. <br />The Munger Canyon Mine is located approximately 18 miles north of Loma, CO along State <br />Highway 139. East Salt Creek is west of the permit boundary. The surface of the permit <br />area is owned by the United States. The permit area is encompassed within portions of <br />Sections 21, 27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 33 and 34 of Township 7 South, Range 102 West, 6'" P.M. <br />and Sections 2, 3 and 4 of Township 8 South, Range 102 West, 6'h P.M. <br />The Loma Loadout is approximately one-half mile east of Loma, Colorado. The surface of <br />the permit area is owned by the Union Pacific Railroad. The permit area is encompassed <br />within portions of the SWYaSW'/a of Section 34 Township 2 North, Range 3 West, Ute <br />Meridian and Portions of the NEB/<NWY4 of Section 3 Township 1 North, Range 3 West, Ute <br />Meridian. <br />The mine site sections are contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Howard <br />Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps.
