Also enclosed are the
attendant filing application fees ($150).
As you are aware, the technical revision pertains to a planned field and laboratory
investigation program designed to evaluate the in-place character of the reclaimed mill
tailings in the upper and lower tailings pond facilities at the Bulldog project. The program is
intended to assess whether the tailings have the potential to adversely impact beneficial uses
of groundwater in the area.
As indicated during our conversations during development of the work plan for this
program, we are planning to initiate field work in the near future; possibly by mid- July. We
will keep you informed as activities and plans proceed.
Thank you for your continued assistance in evaluating the methodology and approach that
has been taken to address this issue at the Bulldog project. We look forward to further
communications as we bring closure to the remaining reclamation issues at the project. If you
or other members of the DMG staff have any questions regarding our planned program or
any other issues at Bulldog, please don't hesitate to contact me in our San Francisco office; my
direct line is 415.983.8180.
Very Truly Yours,
r~y~/"'=w ' ~~
Alan D.
